The Continuity-of-Care You Deserve

At Cranbrook Medical, we are a full fee paying practice. We treat a large variety of conditions and provide services to various age groups and demographics — across all stages of life. Our team is family-oriented and we value continuity-of-care. The idea is to provide you and your family with the same trusted family practice doctor each time you visit our welcoming and professional clinic.

Do I need to book or can I do a walk-in?

Please ensure you make a booking as our medical practice does not accept walk-ins due to high demand. 

 

 

How long should I book for?

A standard consult should involve one medical issue that needs addressing. Should you have multiple health concerns, please book a longer consult – up to 40 mins in duration for the most complex cases. 

What payment methods do you take?

Accepted payment methods at Cranbrook Medical are Cash, EFTPOS & Credit Card. We do not accept AMEX.

Do you process Medicare refunds?

Yes, we process Medicare refunds for those that present a valid Medicare Card. For an idea of our consultation pricing, please refer to our fee structure table. 

Do you bulk bill?

We are a full fee paying practice. Therefore, we do not bulk bill under any circumstances. For an idea of our consultation pricing, please refer to our fee structure table. 

Do you offer reduced fees for children, pensioners, or other concession holders?

Cranbrook Medical do not offer any discounts or honour any concessions of any kind. For an idea of our consultation pricing, please refer to our fee structure table. 

Do you charge additional fees for procedures?

Some procedures will incur a treatment room or nurse fee to cover the cost of consumables (dressings, nurse led treatments etc) these fees have no Medicare rebate available.

Payment is due on the day of the service, please note there will be a $7 late fee applied to your account for all appointments/procedures that are not paid on the day. You will be responsible for claiming rebates from Medicare for appointments not paid on the day.

Treatment Room Fees - Charged by the practice in addition to procedure fees to cover the cost of consumables (e.g. dressings) and no Medicare rebate available.

Nursing Fees - For some nurse led treatments there will be a fee and no Medicare rebate available.

*Out-of-pocket cost to those holding a valid Medicare card - typically Australian permanent residents and citizens.

Billing Policies

Terms: Strictly seven (7) days.
All Insurance Medical Reports will need to be paid upfront.

Appointment Cancellation

Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 2 hours notice will be charged a $40.00 fee.

Zero Tolerance

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to any verbal, aggressive and violent abuse and behaviour towards our doctors, staff and nursing team or other patients. If required, the police will be called and may result in the person concerned being removed from our practice.

Prescriptions

All prescriptions requested over the phone or online will require at least 24 hours to complete. A small fee may apply.
